WorkBuzz, a leading UK-based platform for employee engagement and insights, has just landed a £3.96 million follow-on investment from YFM Equity Partners. The fresh funding, made through YFM’s BSC VCTs Funds and Growth Funds, is part of a broader £4.0 million funding round. With this latest move, YFM’s total commitment to WorkBuzz has now climbed to £8.8 million.

Since YFM’s initial backing, WorkBuzz has nearly doubled its annual recurring revenue (ARR), jumping from £2.8 million in June 2023 to over £5 million by March 2025. This impressive growth highlights the increasing demand for smarter employee engagement solutions and showcases WorkBuzz’s ability to build products that truly resonate with businesses.

Backing this new chapter for WorkBuzz are YFM’s Sophie Tainton, Jack Redwood, and Charlie Winward — seasoned investors known for helping high-growth companies scale. Their ongoing support signals strong confidence in WorkBuzz’s leadership team and ambitious vision.

With the new investment, WorkBuzz is setting its sights on even bigger goals. The company plans to deepen strategic partnerships across the UK and expand internationally, aiming to reach fresh markets and supercharge its AI-driven product development. By leaning into artificial intelligence, WorkBuzz hopes to stay ahead in the fast-changing employee engagement space, offering even more value to its clients.

To fuel this momentum, WorkBuzz is also strengthening its leadership team. Alex Merrifield recently joined as Chief Product Officer, bringing deep expertise in customer-centric product innovation. The company is also finalizing the appointment of a Partnerships Director, who will be instrumental in forging new collaborations and unlocking broader opportunities for growth.

A Trusted Name in Employee Engagement Innovation

Founded by Steve Frost in 2011 in Milton Keynes, with an engineering hub in Kraków, Poland, WorkBuzz has become a trusted ally for HR leaders who want to transform how they listen to their employees. The platform enables organizations to create tailored surveys, track workforce sentiment in real time, and spark meaningful organizational change.

Driven by a relentless focus on innovation and customer success, WorkBuzz has carved out a strong leadership position in the employee engagement sector. Recently, the company rolled out AI-powered upgrades that help businesses quickly make sense of employee feedback, offering clear, actionable insights that go beyond traditional survey reporting. These smart features are designed to help companies build more engaged, empowered, and productive teams.

What’s Next for WorkBuzz?

Armed with new capital, an expanded leadership team, and cutting-edge technology, WorkBuzz is gearing up for a major growth push. Its strategic focus on AI innovation, global expansion, and strong partnerships positions the company to lead the future of employee engagement.

Commenting on the investment, Sophie Tainton, Portfolio Director at YFM, said WorkBuzz has delivered remarkable growth since their first investment. She praised the company’s commitment to innovation and expansion, particularly its new AI-driven features, and expressed excitement about supporting WorkBuzz in its next stage of scale.

Steve Frost, Founder and CEO of WorkBuzz, added that the partnership with YFM has been instrumental in fast-tracking the company’s growth and innovation. With this new funding, he said, WorkBuzz is ready to expand its platform further, break into new markets, and shape the future of employee listening.

With fresh momentum and big ambitions, WorkBuzz is clearly just getting started.
