Pixee, a rising player in secure software development, has secured $15 million in seed funding to power its mission: making code security fast, automated, and developer-friendly. The round was led by Decibel and Wing VC, with additional backing from TEDCO, PrimeSet, and top tech names like GitHub’s Zach Holman and HackerOne’s Alex Rice.

As AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code boost developer output, Pixee ensures that security keeps up. Its platform delivers automated, ready-to-merge fixes for vulnerabilities—directly into tools developers already use.

Security That Fits Developer Speed

Pixee’s AI doesn’t just alert you—it takes action. The platform scans code, spots issues, and pushes fixes via pull requests in GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps. No copy-paste. No guesswork. Just clean, secure code.

Unlike traditional scanners, Pixee uses agentic AI and deterministic logic to understand context and deliver trusted patches. Early users have seen real results:

  • 91% reduction in developer remediation time
  • 74% cut in security triage time
  • 76% of AI-generated fixes get merged

The platform also supports on-prem deployment, giving enterprises full control over their code and IP. That’s a major plus for teams that can’t risk exposure to third-party AI platforms.

Built for GenAI-Powered Teams

“Developers are moving faster than ever thanks to GenAI,” said Pixee CEO Surag Patel. “Security teams deserve tools that move just as fast. Pixee helps them scale without compromise.”

Industry research backs this shift. According to IDC, by 2027, 70% of app security fixes will come from AI tools. That’s a huge time-saver—especially when the average developer spends nearly a fifth of their time handling security manually.

Investors agree. “Pixee is what Application Security has been waiting for,” said Decibel’s Dan Nguyen-Huu. “It fits right into developer workflows and removes the friction. Security just gets done.”

Jake Flomenberg from Wing called Pixee’s approach “a powerful insight.” He added, “With Pixee, teams don’t have to trade speed for safety. They get both.”

Founded by Security Veterans

Pixee was founded by two security experts. CEO Surag Patel was Chief Strategy Officer at Contrast Security. CTO Arshan Dabirsiaghi co-founded Contrast and is a global leader in application security. Together, they’re building the future of DevSecOps—one secure commit at a time.

With fresh funding, Pixee will speed up product development and grow its go-to-market team. The goal? Get secure code into production faster—and without slowing down the devs who build it.
