Gravitee, a platform that helps businesses manage their APIs and digital data flows, has raised $60 million in Series C funding. The round was led by Sixth Street Growth, with support from Riverside Acceleration Capital and Albion VC. This brings the company’s total funding to over $125 million.
Gravitee plans to use the fresh capital to launch new features and expand into new markets. CEO Rory Blundell said the growing complexity of digital systems makes this the right time to scale. Today, many companies run on APIs, AI agents, real-time data, and hybrid cloud systems. Without a unified control layer, things can quickly spiral out of control.
Blundell warned that the lack of oversight can create blind spots, increase security risks, and slow innovation. Gravitee offers a platform that brings visibility and governance to all of these components. It helps teams monitor, secure, and manage both APIs and event-driven systems.
The company began in 2015 as an open-source project led by Blundell and co-founders Azize Elamrani, David Brassely, Nicolas Géraud, and Titouan Compiegne. Since then, it has evolved into a business that supports major clients like Michelin, Roche, Blue Yonder, and Tide. Gravitee earned $22 million in recurring revenue last year and expects to grow its workforce from 130 to 200 employees by year’s end.
Gravitee supports both asynchronous and synchronous APIs. This means it works well for systems that deliver real-time data and those that send responses later. Some competitors only support one method. That flexibility is one reason why companies trust Gravitee as their API management solution.
The platform is available as a SaaS product or can be self-hosted. It includes tools for API design, testing, and deployment, plus a dashboard for tracking and visualizing infrastructure. These features make it easier for teams to stay in control.
Gravitee faces competition from companies like Blobr, which focuses on API monetization, and StepZen, which uses graph technology to connect APIs. But Gravitee stands out by solving bigger issues—like infrastructure security and observability.
As demand grows for reliable API tools, Gravitee is in a strong position. Its latest funding round shows that investors believe in its vision. With more businesses moving to real-time, distributed systems, the need for control is greater than ever. Gravitee is building the foundation that helps companies manage that complexity with confidence.
