As businesses drown in scattered customer data, the need for smarter enterprise CRM data solutions has never been greater. That’s where Ascendx Cloud steps in—helping companies like those using Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Snowflake not just manage data, but transform it into actionable insights. Already supporting more than 500 major firms, including several Fortune 500 companies, Ascendx is redefining how organizations in banking, manufacturing, and life sciences harness CRM intelligence.

The global CRM software market is booming. From $70.2 billion in 2024, it’s expected to hit $178.7 billion by 2034. With North America leading the growth—commanding over 32% of the market—Ascendx Cloud is now doubling down on its U.S. expansion strategy. That move is backed by fresh firepower: a $110 million funding round, the largest in its category to date.

The raise, led by Osprey Investors and Columbia Lake Partners, includes $60 million in equity and $50 million in debt. This investment will help the London-based SaaS company scale its U.S. presence and acquire technologies to deepen its AI-first CRM capabilities.

A New Chapter in AI-Powered CRM Workflows

Ascendx Cloud was founded in August 2023 by three seasoned tech and investment pros: Ufuk Civilo, previously at TPG; James Lumb, founder of Zenkraft; and Bertan Ilbak, formerly with Mediterra Capital. Their mission? To help enterprises streamline their CRM workflows with automation and intelligence baked in from the start.

And it’s working. The company posted an impressive 300% revenue growth in 2024 alone. Its acquisition of CapStorm, a U.S. company known for handling massive volumes of CRM data and metadata, added a robust layer to its capabilities. CapStorm brings over a decade of experience working with clients in finance, public service, and healthcare—industries where data compliance and resilience are critical.

CapStorm CEO Ted Pappas called the merger a leap forward. He said joining Ascendx gives them access to the tools and strategy they need to accelerate innovation—without sacrificing what made CapStorm trusted by so many.

Top-Tier Backing and Boardroom Firepower

The deal also attracted a lineup of influential backers. Alongside lead investor Osprey, the funding round includes names like Charles Delingpole (ComplyAdvantage), Sujay Tyle (Merama), Chris North (ex-Shutterfly CEO), and Malte Janzarik (ex-TPG Europe). Their combined track records in enterprise tech and high-growth startups bring more than capital—they bring strategic firepower.

Ascendx’s board reflects its ambition. Gavin Patterson, former CRO at Salesforce, and nCino co-founder Pullen Daniel are now helping steer the ship. Patterson believes the market is at a crossroads: CRM platforms can no longer just track relationships—they must anticipate them. He sees Ascendx as a frontrunner in that shift.

Investor Thomas Weisman of Osprey agreed, noting that CRM use cases are rapidly shifting toward agentic, automated interactions. He praised Ascendx’s strong product positioning and readiness for the next wave of intelligent enterprise software.

CEO Ufuk Civilo said this moment marks a critical milestone for the company. He emphasized that AI is reshaping the software stack—and CRM lies at the core of that shift. “Legacy systems can’t keep up with modern data demands,” he said. “Our mission is to help the world’s largest companies move faster, smarter, and more efficiently.”

Looking Ahead: Intelligent CRM at Enterprise Scale

As the CRM market hits a technological tipping point, Ascendx Cloud is racing ahead. Its future roadmap includes expanding its U.S. team, making more strategic acquisitions, and continuing to build its AI-driven CRM ecosystem. The company is also a proud member of Pledge 1%, committing a portion of its equity to social impact efforts.

By blending AI, data workflow automation, and a scalable architecture, Ascendx Cloud is positioning itself to lead the charge in enterprise CRM data solutions. While legacy providers still dominate much of the market, Ascendx’s ability to unify and enhance existing CRM systems may be exactly what modern enterprises need.
